2025/26 Season Is Live
New members always most welcome
Are you an accomplished photographer, a passionate hobbyist, or have you only recently picked up a camera? Do you enjoy discussing photography past and present, learning new techniques, improving your craft, discovering new genres, exhibiting your work, and meeting up with a group of like-minded individuals?

Then consider joining us. Frome Wessex Photographic (formerly FWCC) is your friendly, inclusive local collective, catering for and supporting all levels of photographic ability or interest – from complete beginners to professionals, abstract to astrophotography – and new members are always most welcome (just get in touch [or turn up at one of our meetings and make yourself known – we don't bite and you're welcome to 'try us out before you buy']).

Our 2025/26 programme is live.

Meetings run on Fridays from September until May, 7:30pm meet for a 7:45pm start, typically at Beckington Memorial Hall (36 Bath Rd, Beckington, BA11 6SH). Additional activities include an active members-only Facebook group, regular organised outings & photoshoots, specialist interest group sessions ('creative', macro, street & portrait, photographic discussion), two photographic fairs, an annual exhibition (typically during the Photo|Frome festival), and social events throughout the year.

Full-term annual membership is just £40 for adults, £20 for juniors (16-18), via card payment at the enrolment evening or bank transfer.

Our Activities
Competitions & Workshops
Guest Speakers
Photoshoots, Outings, Exhibitions
Through competitions and workshops we all learn new perspectives and skills. All our competitions are assessed by independent, experienced judges. Additionally, we enter a selection of regional and inter-club battles.
A core component of our weekly meetings are talks by a variety of thought-provoking speakers. Sessions cover a wide range of photographic themes and topics – see our Programme for details.
A photography group should be a social group, and FWP normally organises an annual photo holiday, as well as outings, photoshoots and at least one local exhibition throughout the year, details of which can be found in the members' newsletter and facebook group.
