John Bishop
Wildlife photography and birds in particular remain my main focus of interest. This is helped by the fact that I travel a great deal and have been lucky enough to visit some exciting destinations – in January 2025 I went to the Antarctic. I also enjoy using my macro lens and would like to explore its potential more.
Since joining Frome Wessex Photographic in 2017 I have entered all the Club’s competitions and in particular enjoy the challenge of the themed challenges – these have encouraged me to have a go at many types of photography that I might not otherwise have attempted.
I also enjoy street photography which has led to my visiting and exploring some cities that are new to me. My editing skills are slowly improving and a push on these might prove to be a useful winter project.
