Frome Wessex Photographic Members' Galleries – Guidance
Member's Page Guidance:
1. The Member's Gallery is administered by Joao Diniz Sanches (Frome Wessex Photographic Webmaster).
2. Members wishing to add a new gallery or make changes to the Gallery should send the proposed content or amendments to: [email protected]
3. Members may have a Gallery with either 10, 12 or 15 images (this permits arrangements of 2x5, or 3x4 or 3x5 images.
4. Members should provide their images in JPG / JPEG format in the sRGB colourspace, with a filesize no larger than 1.2MB. Members should provide images by email in batches of 4 or 5 corresponding to the proposed row arrangement. However the administrator may propose rearranging images to provide a pleasing panel arrangement.
[As a guideline It is suggested that images are sized with the shorter side to 800 pixels provided the the longer side can be keep no longer than 1200 pixels. If necessary reduce the quality of the image to keep the file size below 1.2MB.]
6. Members are invited to provide, if they wish, the text of a brief personal statement about their photography to be included below their Gallery. This statement may contain links to external websites or social media accounts if you wish. However any offers for services or products for sale or distribution will not be permitted as part of this statement. Thus, for example, you may include mention that you are a wedding photographer, and a link to your professional site, but it must not directly offer a photography service as part of the Member's page.
NOTE: The administrator will not correct spellings or grammar. You are responsible for editing your own text. The administrator however reserves the right to withhold or reject any text that is felt to be contrary with the way the Club wishes to be seen in public.
7. Members with recognised Photographic Awards (e.g. RPS, PAGB, BPE awards) and who wish those to be mentioned in the Header should indicate this in their email, with the precise text of how they propose the awards should be mentioned.
8. Members should also indicate how they wish their name to appear in the Header of their Gallery.
