The FROME SALON of PHOTOGRAPHY 2018
A member of the British Photographic Exhibition (B.P.E.) Circuit.

The selection of images and Salon Awards for inclusion in the 2018 Salon took place on the 10th & 11th of November 2018.

The club would like to thank all those who entered the Salon and congratulate those selected for the Salon and particularly those commended or who won medals.
Medals, Certificates, Ribbons and CDs were mailed First Class to all eligible entrants on 17th January 2019. Please note that Medals have been mailed separately to the Certificates, Ribbons and CDs.

The Selectors offered the following comments at the end of the selection:
"The quality of the photographs was variable...the Open section was mixed but specialized sections were better and the Nature section was exceptional...”
“Entrants should be careful to read the rules because occasionally photographs had to be disqualified...some of these pictures would have undoubtedly been accepted...”
“The award winners were of a very high standard...In both the Mono and the Colour it was pleasing to see some excellent sports images.”

BACKGROUND
The Salon was first launched in 2012 and has become increasingly popular, attracting over 4000 image entries last year.
We are a member of the British Photographic Exhibition circuit and conduct the salon based upon their rules.
Medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze), Individual Selectors' ribbons (1st and 2nd), and Certificates (Highly Commended and Commended) are awarded in each class.
For FWCC members certificates in each class are awarded as follows; FWCC Best in Class, FWCC Highly Commended and FWCC Commended.
We are a National Salon open only to photographers with addresses in United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and BFPO addresses.
