Note:
The introduction of a second 'Best of the Best' competition on the 21st May to reflect the large number of qualifying images.
The 'Best of the Best' will this year be split into 'Open' and 'Themed' Sections instead of the usual 'Digital' and 'Print' Sections to reflect that we had to make all Print Comptetions Digital this year.
The AGM will now be on the 28th May.
The previous (optimistically planned) hope to attempt a social event on the 28th may has now been cancelled, however we might be able to hold a social event later in the summer IF conditions permit.
Visit to Ryewater Nursery, near Sherborne Wednesday 7th July 2021
Ryewater Nursery is a 100 acre private estate managed to promote butterfly conservation and attract other wildlife. One part of Ryewater is full
of sculptures: a dragon’s head, a huge chair and many other things you wouldn’t expect to find in the middle of Dorset!
The rest of the site is managed much like farms were managed half a century ago, so the habitat is quite natural.
There are also tropical greenhouses with several varieties of exotic butterfly.
We may be offered a guided tour on arrival and then we are free to roam and take photos
There will be no charge but they would like us to email some photographs afterwards - they would be gratefully received.
There is a limit of 30 attendees, partners will be welcome, however if the number of attendees is too great, club members will be given priority.
