The FROME SALON of PHOTOGRAPHY 2020 (FSoP20)
A member of the British Photographic Exhibition (B.P.E.) Circuit.
Sponsored by the Frome Wessex Camera Club.

Our 8th National Salon of Photography CLOSED for entries on the 1st November.

We received very nearly 6,000 image submissions from 488 Entrants this year.
The Frome Wessex Camera Club thanks all those who submitted, and wishes them well in the forthcoming Selection.

The Calendar Dates for the 2020 Salon are:

FSoP20 opened for entries: Friday 11th September 2020
FSoP20 closes for entries: Midnight Sunday 1st November 2020
Selection window: Between 10th & 29th November 2020 (planned for 13, 14, 15th November)
Results published on Club website by: 14th December 2020
Scorecards emailed/posted by: 14th December 2020
Catalogue and Awards dispatched by: 31st January 2021
FSoP20 completed: 31st January 2021

As a result of Corona virus, we will be using a remote selection system.
This is a 'Digital only' Salon.

BACKGROUND

The Frome Salon of Photography was first launched in 2012. It has become increasingly popular, attracting over 483 entrants and over 5,500 digital image entries last year (2019).
We are a member of the British Photographic Exhibition circuit and conduct our Salon based upon their rules.

We award Medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze), Individual Selectors' ribbons (generally 1st and 2nd), and Certificates (Highly Commended and Commended) in each class.
For FWCC members, we additionally award certificates in each class as follows for Club images that did not achieve a 'Salon Award': FWCC Best in Class, FWCC Highly Commended and FWCC Commended.

We are a UK National Salon, and are only open to photographers with addresses in United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and BFPO addresses.
