Competition details for 2023-2024

INTERNAL COMPETITIONS
There are eight internal competitions this year. Four will be Digital and four will be Print, and we have re-introduced themes:
Using Light (Digital) – Hand in date 24th November 2023 for competition on 8th December
Minimalist (Print) – Hand in date 5th & 12th January 2024 for competition on 12th January
The Unexpected Portrait (Digital) – Hand in date 8th March for competition on 22nd March
A Favourite Place (Print) – Hand in date 22nd March for competition on 12th April
It is left to the photographer to interpret each theme as they see fit, there will be no further guidance. Competition Judges will be informed that themes are as ‘wide’ as photographers decide and that they should critique the images for their 'photographic merit'.
All competitions will be held at Beckington Memorial Hall, unless otherwise stated.
Please email your digital entries to the Competition Secretary fwccdigital@gmail.com by the due dates.
Print entries are to be submitted to Print Secretaries at Beckington Hall on or before the hand-in dates.

NEW SIZING REQUIREMENTS: For Battle selection, please send three to five images labelled in the usual competition naming format and with images saved at a minimum of 4000 pixels (long edge) to fwccbattles@gmail.com. (Sizing for internal competitions remains unaffected – see guidance in the above section.)
