This week’s meeting
Friday’s meeting will be another critique evening by David Chedgy & Alan Denison. Please email up to three digital images (numbered 1, 2 and 3). Please include in email subject field "Images for Critique Evening". Images to be taken in turn (all 1s, then all 2s etc) until allocated time is up. The meeting will start at 7.30 Best of the Best digital competition The Best of the Best digital competition images have now been sent to the judge, John Tilsley. You should all now have received the chart for the Best of the Best print entries, if you have not done so already, please make sure digital versions of your winning print images, resized appropriately, are sent to Mary by midnight Friday 15th at the latest, Members’ Galleries If you have explored the club website you will have noticed that one feature is the Members’ Galleries section under the ‘More’ dropdown menu. This is where we can show off the creativity of our images, and our areas of interest, to other members and to visitors to the site. Already there are some excellent galleries from members, but please don’t think the galleries are just for competition winners, not every member wants to enter competitions but every member will have some great images to share. So if you would like a gallery of your images, or would like to refresh your existing gallery, please send the proposed content or amendments to Alan Denison and let us all enjoy your images. Don’t forget to check the Members Gallery section for guidelines. and finally … times are very difficult for all of us at the moment, but the Club has been working hard to continue our weekly meetings during lockdown, with talks, webinars and competitions. What the committee would now like to know is how to keep the programme going during the summer months, when we would normally meet up for outings, workshops and photoshoots, and you can all help by letting us know what you would like the Club to put on via video conferencing during July and August. These could be talks, critique sessions, workshops by members, like Andrews excellent Lightroom webinar (maybe you have an area of expertise that you could share with members). Committee members can organise the technical side of things, so please let us have your ideas by sending them to me. I look forward to hearing from you. Stay safe. Best wishes, Criss
