​Sunday's Trip to St Fagan's
The coach leaves from the Cheese and Grain car-park at 8 am: don't be late!
Back in Frome at about 6pm.
The trip is free for members and partners, and there is still room on the coach. If you'd like to bring friends along too, they can join us at £5 a head. If you'd like to join the 30 of us who are already signed up, please contact Loveday: ([email protected],uk).

Saturday 4th: Warminster Medieval Fair (a free event).

Sunday 19th: FREE street-photography workshop in Bath, led by Mick Yates. Details of this will follow, but if it's your kind of thing, keep the day clear!

Outing to St Fagan's Museum of Welsh History, Sunday 29th July

Here are our full joining instructions:


Coach start time: 8.00am
Coach start location: Cheese & Grain Car Park, Market Yard, Frome, Somerset, BA11 1BE.
 Entry into St. Fagan’s is free.
Food at St. Fagan’s: There are a number of food outlets selling good quality food that is cooked on site using local Welsh products.
 Coach leaving time: 4.00pm
 Finishing time: We should be back in Frome around 6.00pm.
 
Photography in galleries:
Photography is allowed in the museums for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
The use of flash and tripods is prohibited in areas where there are unglazed artworks or other unprotected objects.
Photography in loan exhibitions is not permitted at any time.
Photography of human remains is not permitted at any time.

After successful annual holidays in West Wales, Northumberland, North Wales, the Lake District and most recently Tuscany, it is now time to think about the Club Holiday 2019. 
Although June next year may seem far away, experience tells us we do need to find and book suitable accommodation well ahead.
The meeting at the end of this month is to gauge interest and to try to decide on a venue. Holidays are open to members and their partners, friends and even dogs. We try hard to find locations where non-photographers will also find plenty to enjoy. We find that economy of scale (15+ participants) helps very much to keep costs down. We usually go in June, after the Club's season has finished but before the school holidays.
So if you even think you might like to come on the holiday next year, please come along to the meeting. We meet upstairs at The Three Swans, a delightfully quirky and very old pub in King Street ( BA11 1BH), just opposite the top of Cheap Street. But please be sure to buy yourself a drink before you come upstairs - that is our rent for the room!

Charlie Waite, the landscape photographer, will be speaking at Stourton Memorial Hall on 29th November. Full details for booking may be found on the attached poster.

​Frome Festival Event Number 805, 10 am Sunday 8th at the Cheese & Grain.
David will be leading our annual walk, this time on a slightly different route which will include, he promises, some fine graffiti. There will be a vintage model. This is always an enjoyable event, and a good recruiting tool for FWCC. It is free for members, so why not come and join the party? We hope to end (around noon) in the Black Swan Café, where you can also enjoy our outstanding display of photographs of previous Festivals.
