​Somerset Speedway Visit, Wednesday 8th August

The cost is £18 to cover a cold buffet meal, a pit tour and entry to the Speedway.
Timings for the evening are as follows:  It's advisable to arrive between 6pm & 6:15pm for the pit/track tour, which generally lasts 30 to 40 mins, with the opportunity to take some candid photos. Pits will close at 7pm.
Once concluded, you'll be shown to your table & the staff will organise your food. Racing starts at 7:30pm, so you should have ample time between the tour & racing commencing to have your food.
Your table will be reserved in the Club’s name & is available all night for your party. Also you will have access to the sponsors’ patio for the evening. However, you are welcome to roam the public areas to take images as long as the rules regarding photography, which I will explain on the evening, are observed. 


FREE Canon Experience Day at Goodwood,  Saturday 11th August.  
At present  5 members are planning to visit the London Camera Exchange FREE Canon Experience Day at Goodwood Racetrack from 10.00 am to 3.30 pm on Saturday 11th. We envisage leaving at around 6.30 am. Please contact David ([email protected]) if you wish to car-share. NB: bring your passport or driving licence if you wish to borrow the pro equipment to try out on the day.

FREE Street Photography Walk in Bath, Sunday 19th August  
Mick Yates (http://www.photobath.co.uk/author/mickyates/) is offering FWCC members a free walkshop. Location and times will be given later to those who have booked. But places are limited. It Looks like Cornwall for 2019
Eleven Club members met on Monday, with messages from 4 others who could not be present. From the meeting, we have arrived at a consensus that if possible we shall spend the week of 7/8 - 14/15 June next year in Cornwall. We aim to find accommodation for 24 people, and Andrew W is hard at work finding the right location, with  Sennen Cove looking good. The holiday group will meet next on Tuesday 21st August, at 7.30 in the upstairs room at The Three Swans in Frome.
